Job Overview
We are seeking a dynamic and detail-oriented Dental & Facial Surgery Office Receptionist to join our vibrant healthcare team. This vital role involves managing front desk operations, providing exceptional patient service, and supporting clinical staff with administrative tasks. Duties
Greet patients warmly, verify appointments, and manage check-in/check-out procedures with professionalism and efficiency
Schedule appointments using our EMR (Electronic Medical Records) DENTRIX.
Handle phone inquiries with courteous phone etiquette, providing accurate information and directing calls appropriately
Maintain and update patient records accurately while adhering to clinical confidentiality policies and HIPAA regulations
Assist with insurance verification, medical billing, collection processes, and documentation review to ensure timely payments and compliance
Manage electronic health records (EHR).
Support clinical staff by preparing care plans, reviewing medical documentation, and ensuring all records are complete and organized.
Perform clerical tasks such as filing, data entry, faxing, scanning documents, and managing medical records efficiently
Coordinate with insurance providers regarding dental insurance coverage.
Maintain a clean and organized front desk area while ensuring all office equipment functions properly
Qualifications
Proven experience in a medical or dental office setting with familiarity in clinic operations and medical terminology
Experience with medical billing, coding (CPT, ICD-9/10), insurance verification, and Medicare processes
Excellent customer service skills with the ability to communicate effectively via phone and in person; bilingual abilities are a plus
Demonstrated clerical skills including filing, data entry, typing (10 key), and document review with high accuracy
Knowledge of HIPAA regulations and clinical confidentiality policies to safeguard patient information
Strong computer skills across Microsoft Office applications along with familiarity in health information management software
Ability to multitask efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail
Prior dental clinic experience is highly preferred; familiarity with dental terminology and procedures is advantageous
