Overview
This is a full time position working between out Sunnyvale and San Jose locations.
Monday, Thursday and Friday 9:00 am - 6:00 pm / Sunnyvale location
Tuesday, Wednesday 9:00 am - 6:00 pm / San Jose Location
Join our dynamic dental team as a Dental Floater, where your versatility and enthusiasm will keep our practice running smoothly and efficiently! In this vital role, you will provide flexible support across various clinical and administrative areas, ensuring exceptional patient care and seamless operations. Duties
Assist with chairside procedures across multiple specialties including general dentistry, pediatric dentistry, oral surgery, endodontics, and prosthodontics.
Prepare treatment rooms by sterilizing and organizing dental instruments and equipment following infection prevention management protocols.
Support dental assistants and hygienists with clinical tasks such as taking vital signs, medical imaging (X-ray, 3D scanner), and assisting with dental instrument processing.
Manage patient flow by greeting patients, updating medical records, verifying insurance information, and scheduling appointments using patient management software.
Ensure compliance with HIPAA regulations and clinical confidentiality policies while handling sensitive medical documentation and records.
Maintain dental equipment including sterilization procedures, infection control practices, and aseptic techniques to uphold the highest standards of safety.
Collaborate with the team to ensure smooth clinic operations by supporting reception duties like answering phones and managing patient inquiries as a dental receptionist when needed.
Experience
Previous experience working in a dental clinic setting is preferred but not required; training will be provided for specific systems such as Eaglesoft, Dentrix, or other patient management software.
Familiarity with EMR (Electronic Medical Records) systems, dental terminology, and medical documentation enhances your ability to excel in this role.
Knowledge of dental sterilization procedures, infection prevention management, dental x-ray techniques, and chairside assisting is highly desirable.
Experience with pediatric dentistry or working with pediatric patients is a plus; patience and excellent communication skills are essential when caring for young patients.
Understanding of healthcare infection control standards, aseptic techniques, anatomy knowledge related to oral structures, and general dentistry procedures will support your success.
