Perinton Dental Group is seeking an "experienced" Front Desk Administrative Coordinator. This is a Full-Time position with flexible hours, Monday thru Friday; no weekends.
*** Candidate must have recent front desk work experience in a dental office setting in the past 3 years ***
Our modern, fully digital office utilizes the latest technology to deliver quality dental care, including CEREC same-day crowns, Invisalign, CBCT 3D x-ray, implants, and much more. Ideal candidate should have:
Proven 2-3 years’ experience in a “General Dental” front desk administrative role
General Dental experience to include dental terminology and a strong understanding of procedures, productive scheduling, treatment coordination, financial arrangements, insurance billing, collection processes, hygiene programs, patient re-engagement, and compliance programs
Excellent communication & listening skills
Superior interpersonal, customer service & time management skills
Be upbeat and self-motivated
Professional attitude, friendly & team player
Ability to problem solve & prioritize tasks
Able to manage multiple high priority tasks at any given time
Reliable, detail oriented, organized, quick learner and thinker
Health centered & patient-focused mindset
Experience in Open Dental practice management software a plus
Job requirements include:
First point of contact for our patients, playing a key role in ensuring welcoming and professional experience
Answer phone calls and respond to patient inquiries
Manage patient check-in and check-out
Schedule, cancel and reschedule patient appointments
Assist with patient billing; to include providing detailed explanation of procedures, insurance coverage and financial policies
Verify patient insurance coverage and process insurance claims, ensuring accuracy in documentation and timely submission
Handle patient intake forms, updates and other administrative paperwork as required
Update patient dental charts and electronic records with x-rays, treatment plans and financial/insurance information
Calculate fees, coordinate financial agreements and process payment including cash and credit card transactions
Coordinate with clinical team to ensure seamless communications between front desk and treatment rooms
Support various office functions and assist with additional administrative tasks as needed
