Job Summary
Join our dynamic dental team as a Front Desk receptionist/assistant. Looking for a conscientious, considerate, people oriented person. 24 to 32 hours per week Monday thru Friday. In this vital role, you will coordinate patient appointments, manage medical and dental records, and facilitate seamless communication between patients and our clinical team. You will be expected to help out with dental assisting duties when needed. Your energetic and positive attitude will help create a comfortable environment for patients while ensuring efficient office operations. This paid position offers an exciting opportunity to develop your skills in dental administration and patient care within a supportive, fast-paced setting. Responsibilities
Greet patients warmly, verify their information, and check vital signs as needed to ensure accurate medical documentation.

Schedule appointments efficiently using EMR (Electronic Medical Records) systems.

Manage patient check-in and check-out processes, including updating medical records and verifying insurance details in compliance with HIPAA regulations.

Assist with chairside procedures by supporting dental staff during treatments such as four-handed dentistry, taking X-rays, and operating 3D scanners when necessary.

Maintain infection control protocols by practicing aseptic techniques and ensuring all dental equipment is sterilized according to OSHA standards.

Handle administrative duties like answering phones, managing appointment reminders, processing payments, and coordinating referrals for specialized treatments like prosthodontics or endodontics.

Support clinical staff with medical documentation, coding procedures appropriately for insurance claims, and updating medical records accurately.

Qualifications
Previous experience working in a dental clinic or healthcare environment is preferred but not required; training will be provided for those eager to learn.

Familiarity with dental terminology, medical terminology, and medical imaging enhances your ability to support clinical operations effectively.

Strong understanding of infection control practices, aseptic techniques, anatomy knowledge related to dentistry, and pediatric dentistry experience are advantageous.

Excellent communication skills with the ability to explain procedures clearly to pediatric patients and their families.

Ability to perform chairside assisting tasks including taking vital signs, assisting with X-ray procedures, and supporting general dentistry treatments.
