Job Description
Dental Front Desk Coordinator — Austin Dental Company
Austin Dental Company isn't looking for someone to fill a seat. We're looking for someone who makes the whole team better just by being in the room.
We hire for character first. Skills can be taught — the kind of person you are cannot. So before we talk about experience or software, here's what we actually care about:
We want someone who:
Gives credit freely, owns their mistakes, and genuinely puts the team ahead of themselves
Doesn't wait to be asked. You see a gap, you fill it. You finish your work and look for what's next
Reads people well — a nervous first-time patient, a stressed coworker, a busy doctor all need something different from you, and you know how to adjust
If those sentences describe you, keep reading.
What you'll do:
You're often the first voice patients hear and the last face they see. The core of this role is treatment coordination — presenting treatment plans with clarity and confidence, helping patients understand their options, navigating insurance, and guiding them from diagnosis to a scheduled appointment. You'll also pitch in on the full range of front office responsibilities alongside a team of three, so no one person carries it all. Think patient communications (phones, texts, email), scheduling, records management, and keeping things running with both precision and warmth. We take that role seriously, and we need someone who does too.
What we bring:
A team that holds itself to the same standard we're asking of you. A real voice in how the office runs. And a compensation package that reflects how seriously we take our people:
Monthly bonuses — team, department, and individual performance-based
PPO health insurance
Vision coverage
In-house dental benefits
PTO and paid holidays
401(k) with matching
Discounted supplemental benefits through Aflac (life insurance, disability, and more)
Continuing education support
Team events and happy hours
Experience we're looking for:
Minimum 1 year of dental front office experience
Familiarity with Open Dental
Dental terminology and coding knowledge
Strong attention to detail and communication skills, written and verbal
