We are seeking a motivated, organized, and compassionate Front Desk / Dental Assistant to join our growing dental practice. This dual-role position combines front office responsibilities with chairside assisting, making it ideal for someone who thrives in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment and enjoys both patient interaction and clinical support.

The ideal candidate is dependable, detail-oriented, friendly, and comfortable multitasking while helping create an outstanding patient experience.

Responsibilities
Front Office Duties
Greet and check patients in/out while creating a welcoming experience
Schedule appointments and manage daily hygiene and treatment schedules
Verify insurance eligibility and benefits
Submit insurance claims and assist with billing follow-up
Answer phones, respond to patient questions, and coordinate treatment scheduling
Maintain accurate patient records using dental software, including Open Dental
Present treatment plans and discuss financial arrangements when needed
Clinical Dental Assistant Duties
Assist the doctor chairside using four-handed dentistry techniques
Prepare and disinfect treatment rooms following infection control and sterilization protocols
Take digital dental X-rays and maintain accurate documentation
Sterilize instruments and maintain operatory organization
Assist during restorative, prosthodontic, endodontic, oral surgery, and general dental procedures
Support digital workflows including scanners, digital radiography, and modern dental technology
Educate patients by explaining procedures and post-operative instructions
Additional Responsibilities
Maintain compliance with HIPAA and OSHA standards
Monitor inventory and maintain organized supplies when needed
Help support a positive, team-oriented office culture
Cross-train and assist team members to maintain smooth office flow
Qualifications
Prior dental office experience required
Experience with Open Dental preferred
Knowledge of dental terminology, procedures, and infection control standards
Ability to take dental X-rays (X-ray certification preferred or required per state regulations)
Strong organizational and multitasking skills
Excellent communication and customer service abilities
Positive attitude and strong work ethic
Bilingual English/Spanish is a plus
