Job Overview
We are looking for a friendly, energetic, and highly organized Front Desk/Patient Coordinator to serve as the face of our practice. You will be the welcoming face of our practice, ensuring a smooth and positive experience for every patient from their initial contact through their appointment.
Responsibilities
Patient Care: Welcome patients warmly upon arrival, manage the check-in/check-out process, and create an outstanding first impression.
Communications: Answer multi-line phones, respond to patient emails/texts, check voicemails, and route inquiries to clinical staff when necessary.
Scheduling: Optimally manage the clinic schedule, confirm upcoming appointments, and fill schedule gaps.
Insurance Verification: Verify patient insurance eligibility, breakdown of benefits, and enter details into Dentrix before appointments.
Financial Arrangements: Present estimated treatment plans clearly, explain out-of-pocket costs to patients, and handle co-pays.
Office Maintenance: Scan documents, and keep the areas of responsibility clean and organized
What We Are Looking For
Experience: Minimum of 2 years of administrative experience in a dental office setting is preferred, but we are willing to train the right person!
Software: Familiarity with Dexis dental practice management software is a strong plus.
Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication, strong multitasking abilities, and a compassionate, patient-first demeanor.
Knowledge: Basic understanding of common dental terminology, treatment codes, and dental insurance.
Availability: Reliable capability to work the designated schedule of Monday through Thursday, 7:30 AM to 5:00 PM.
