Job Description
The Dental Receptionist must demonstrate our high standard of customer service and achieve customer satisfaction through a continued commitment to excellence. Must possess excellent communication skills, close attention to detail, and ability to multi-task. This Team Member’s goal is to warmly greet and ensure patients and their families feel welcome and comfortable in our office. Must be able to work independently and collaboratively with others on the Team.
Job Responsibilities:
Efficiently manage patient check-in process, including monitoring online health history forms, text messages, and processing payments.
Handle all administrative tasks related to patient appointments, including confirmation calls, scheduling appointments, coordinating membership plans, and updating health history forms.
Collect and update patient information, including scanning driver's licenses, obtaining signatures on treatment plans, and securing credit card information.
Accurately entering patient data into dental software.
Answer and return phone calls in a compassionate, professional and efficient manner.
Ensure compliance with HIPAA regulations and maintain patient confidentiality at all times.
Provide exceptional customer service to patients, addressing inquiries and resolving issues promptly and professionally.
Always maintain a clean and organized office.
Knowledge/Skills/Abilities:
Previous experience in dental reception or related administrative roles preferred but not required.
Proficiency in using dental practice management software (experience with Ortho2 is a plus) or the enthusiasm to learn.
Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
Ability to handle multiple tasks efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
Knowledge of dental terminology and procedures a plus.
Ability to maintain composure and professionalism when exposed to stressful situations.
Ability to accept constructive criticism.
Requirements:
Enjoy children and always exhibit patience.
Clean and professional appearance and attire.
Available 7:30am – 5:30pm Monday-Thursday (flexibility to work occasional Friday’s)
Every effort is made to accommodate a lunch break daily, but in unusual circumstances a break may not always be provided.
Pass Background and Drug Screening
CPR Certification
Bilingual (English and Spanish) – a plus!
