Job Description

Front Desk / Patient Care Coordinator
Full-Time | Monday–Friday | $20.50–$26.50/hour
JOIN THE APEX TEAM
We are looking for a positive, outgoing, hardworking team player who wants to build a long-term career with Apex Endodontics.

We work hard, move fast, take excellent care of our patients, and genuinely enjoy working together. We are looking for someone who wants more than just a job — someone who wants to become part of our team, grow with our practice, and contribute to the camaraderie and family atmosphere we have built.

Our five core values guide how we work every day:
Excellence Compassion Communication Development Accountability
If those values sound like you, we would love to meet you.

HOURS & AVAILABILITY
This is a full-time, 5-day-per-week position, Monday through Friday. We do not work weekends.

Candidates must have open availability Monday–Friday from 7:30 AM–5:30 PM.

Schedules include varying start and end times within this window and are assigned by Apex based on the needs of the practice and team. Once training is complete, team members are generally assigned a steady weekly schedule.

Open availability during these hours is a requirement of the position.

WHAT YOU'LL DO
Our Front Desk team plays a major role in the patient experience and keeps our busy specialty practice running smoothly. Daily responsibilities include:
Warmly greeting patients and assisting with electronic check-in
Answering incoming calls and scheduling appointments
Managing a busy schedule and helping coordinate the flow of patient care
Prioritizing emergency patients and appointments
Helping patients feel comfortable, informed, and cared for
Processing patient payments
Following up with patients after treatment to check on healing
Communicating regularly with doctors, Dental Assistants, and other Front Desk team members
Accurately documenting patient communications in the electronic patient record
Assisting with electronic documents, scanning, faxing, copying, and other administrative responsibilities
Maintaining a clean, organized, and welcoming reception area
Helping the team wherever needed to provide an exceptional patient experience
WHO WE'RE LOOKING FOR
Dental experience is NOT required. We can train the right person.

Experience in a dental or medical office is helpful, but so is experience in restaurants, hospitality, retail, customer service, or other fast-paced, people-focused environments.

The right person:
Is positive, outgoing, friendly, and compassionate
Enjoys talking with and helping all types of people
Works well as part of a team
Can stay organized and positive in a fast-paced environment
Is dependable, hardworking, and accountable
Communicates well and isn't afraid to ask questions
Wants to continue learning and developing professionally
Is comfortable receiving feedback and learning new processes
Understands that teamwork sometimes means helping cover or adjust when practice needs change
Is looking for a long-term career and workplace to call home
WE ARE A HIGH-TECH, PAPERLESS OFFICE
Technology is part of nearly everything we do.

Our practice uses electronic patient records rather than paper charts, along with digital communication systems, phone systems, electronic check-in, digital imaging, 3D/CBCT technology, handheld X-ray units, intraoral cameras, and other advanced dental technology.

You do not need experience with our specific systems — we will train you.

You do need to be comfortable using computers and technology every day and willing to learn new systems as technology changes.

COMPENSATION
$20.50–$26.50/hour, based on experience, education, skills, and qualifications.

If you feel you may be overqualified or your experience warrants compensation toward the higher end of the range, please apply. We value experience and may adjust responsibilities based on the strengths of the right candidate.

There is room for advancement and increased compensation as skills, performance, and responsibilities grow.
