Job Description
Front Desk Receptionist
Albany Endodontics is a small private endodontic practice with one doctor and a close-knit team. The office is open Monday through Thursday from 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM, with a lunch break from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM. The receptionist (also known as patient care coordinator) is expected to arrive between 8:30 AM and 8:45 AM to prepare for the day and will typically finish between 5:00 PM and 5:30 PM. Reliable attendance and punctuality are essential for this role.
Responsibilities
Greet patients and visitors in a friendly, professional manner
Answer phones, schedule appointments, and assist with patient inquiries
Collect payments and explain treatment estimates and office policies
Perform administrative tasks including data entry, scanning, filing, and document management
Process incoming and outgoing mail and deliveries
Maintain a clean, organized, and welcoming reception area
Requirements
Strong customer service and communication skills
Comfortable using computers and Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook)
Ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment
Accurate data entry and strong attention to detail
Professional phone etiquette
Typing speed of at least 40 words per minute
Previous receptionist, administrative, or customer service experience is preferred but not required
Dependable attendance, punctuality, and reliability are essential
Ability to arrive on time, maintain scheduled work hours, and provide advance notice when absent or late
