About Houston Periodontics
We are a periodontal practice devoted to maintaining the health of our patients teeth and gums using conservative, state-of-the-art procedures that will result in beautiful, long lasting smiles! Our entire team is dedicated to providing our patients with excellent, personalized care and service to make patient visits as comfortable and pleasant as possible.
Houston Periodontics is seeking a Lead Front Desk Receptionist to work at our fast paced, inviting, and customer centric practice. We are looking for a team-player who is always willing to put the patient first and who will go above and beyond to ensure patients receive a positive experience contacting our office. In this role, the expectation is to efficiently manage the front desk and administrative tasks, and to guide patient care from the administrative side. In this position you will have the opportunity to learn and grow right alongside the rest of our team.
This a full-time position regularly scheduled to work Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, and Friday, up to 32 hours per week. In this position you will be eligible for many great benefits such as 401(k) matching and paid time off.
Job Responsibilities:
· Check-in patients following office protocol including verifying and updating patient information (personal, health, and insurance)
· Payment collection and processing
· Create and update patient records including treatment plans, medical records, etc
· Answer and manage incoming phone calls, texts, faxes, and emails
· Maintaining a schedule and cancellation list
· Facilitate patient check-out
· Oversee office correspondence including email and mail
Qualifications:
Reception or administrative experienced: 1 year (Required)
Dental receptionist experience: 1 year (Required)
Periodontal experience: 1 year (Preferred)
Proficient in dental software (SoftDent preferred)
Friendly, outgoing personality
Excellent communication and customer service skills
Strong organizational abilities
Excellent attention to detail
Ability to handle multiple tasks patiently and efficiently
Ability to problem-solve in a fast-paced environment
Ability to maintain a demeanor befitting the standard of care expected
