As a growing practice, we are looking for a dependable, personable, and organized Front Desk / Patient Coordinator who takes pride in helping patients and keeping a dental office running smoothly.

Position Overview
The Front Desk / Patient Coordinator is one of the first and most important points of contact for our patients. This position is responsible for creating a welcoming experience, managing the schedule, communicating with patients, coordinating treatment and appointments, and supporting the administrative needs of the practice.

We are looking for someone who is friendly, confident, organized, proactive, and comfortable taking ownership of their responsibilities.

Responsibilities
Greet patients warmly and professionally
Answer incoming phone calls, text messages, and patient inquiries
Schedule new and existing patients appropriately
Maintain an organized and productive dental schedule
Confirm appointments and help minimize cancellations and no-shows
Fill openings in the schedule by contacting patients and maintaining appropriate call lists
Check patients in and out efficiently
Collect patient payments, copays, and outstanding balances
Present and explain treatment estimates and financial arrangements
Verify dental insurance eligibility and benefits
Assist with insurance claims, attachments, and follow-up as needed
Communicate clearly with patients regarding appointments, treatment, insurance, and financial responsibilities
Coordinate with the doctor, hygienist, assistants, and other team members throughout the day
Maintain accurate patient information and documentation
Help follow up with unscheduled treatment and overdue patients
Maintain patient confidentiality and follow HIPAA requirements
Assist with general administrative duties necessary to keep the practice organized and running efficiently

Is interested in growing with a developing private practice
Qualifications
Previous dental front-office experience is preferred
Knowledge of dental terminology, insurance, scheduling, and treatment coordination is a plus
Experience with Open Dental software is strongly preferred
Strong computer and communication skills
Bilingual English/Spanish is a plus
High school diploma or equivalent required
Exceptional candidates with strong customer-service, administrative, or healthcare experience may also be considered even without extensive dental experience.

Competitive hourly compensation based on experience, dental knowledge, and ability.
