Job Overview
We are seeking a dynamic and detail-oriented Dental Front Desk Receptionist to join our vibrant dental team. In this vital role, you will be the first point of contact for patients, ensuring a welcoming environment while managing all front office operations. Your energetic approach and exceptional organizational skills will help streamline patient flow, coordinate appointments, verify insurance coverage, and maintain accurate medical records. Responsibilities
Greet patients warmly and professionally, establishing a friendly and welcoming atmosphere.
Schedule appointments efficiently using dental practice management software Curve Hero.
Verify patient insurance benefits, including dental insurance knowledge, and dental coverage details.
Manage multi-line phone systems with excellent phone etiquette and clear communication skills.
Collect and review patient information, ensuring accuracy in dental records.
Maintain confidentiality in accordance with HIPAA regulations and clinical confidentiality policies.
Facilitate the intake process for new patients, including data entry.
Support office management tasks such as filing and managing electronic health records.
Assist with insurance verification, claims submission, and follow-up on outstanding balances.
Skills
Friendly, positive patient greeting and strong customer service
Professional phone etiquette and confident handling of high call volume
Appointment scheduling & confirmation (efficient, accurate, and organized)
Check‑out skills including payments, receipts, and next‑visit scheduling
Voicemail management and timely return of patient calls
Multitasking in a busy clinical environment
Attention to detail with patient information and insurance basics
Computer proficiency (practice management software experience is a plus)
Clear communication with patients and team members
Reliability and strong work ethic
Proven experience in dental office or clinical administrative support with strong clinic experience.
Knowledge of dental terminology.
Excellent customer service skills with the ability to handle multiple phone lines using multi-line phone systems effectively.
Strong computer skills including Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel) and typing (10 key typing).
Ability to review documentation accurately while adhering to HIPAA and clinical confidentiality policies.
Bilingual abilities are highly desirable to serve diverse patient populations effectively.
Office management skills including filing, dental records management, and appointment scheduling.
Experience with dental practice management software is preferred.
Exceptional organizational skills combined with attention to detail for accurate documentation review and data entry.
