Job Description
Job description:
About Us:
We’re not your typical dental office—and we like it that way. Our practice is fun, upbeat, and just the right amount of quirky. We take patient care seriously, but ourselves… not too seriously. We believe in creating a positive environment for both our patients and our team, where laughter is part of the daily routine.
We’re a privately owned practice that looks at the whole patient—not just their teeth. We’re passionate about comprehensive dentistry, airway, sleep, and creating relationships with our patients that go beyond just seeing them every six months.
Oh—and we have an office dog named Patrick. He’s here most of the week, boosting morale, accepting pets, and occasionally making an appearance on our Instagram. If you’re not a dog person… Patrick may try to change your mind.
Position Overview:
We’re looking for a Dental Front Office Coordinator to join our team!
This is a busy, people-focused position where you’ll help keep the front office running smoothly, communicate with patients, coordinate schedules, and work closely with the rest of our team to make sure nothing falls through the cracks.
There will be a strong focus on hygiene scheduling, recalls, and keeping our schedule moving, but this role goes beyond just hygiene. We’re looking for someone who is comfortable wearing a few different hats and jumping in wherever they’re needed.
What You’ll Do:
Greet patients like they’re your favorite people (because they are… mostly :)
Answer phones, texts, and patient questions with a friendly, helpful attitude
Schedule and coordinate patient appointments
Help keep our hygiene schedule full by working recalls, cancellations, and openings
Follow up with patients who are due or overdue for care
Communicate with patients about recommended care and next steps
Coordinate with hygienists, doctors, assistants, and the rest of the front office team
Help with insurance questions, scheduling, and general front office responsibilities
Keep track of the little things so patients don’t feel like they’re just another name on the schedule
Help keep the day organized, productive, and running smoothly
Occasionally say hi to Patrick (he considers this part of everyone's job)
What We’re Looking For:
Dental experience is a big plus, especially front office experience
Open Dental experience is preferred
If you have used a different dental software, please tell us what software you currently use or have used in the past
Someone who is comfortable talking with patients and isn't afraid to pick up the phone
Organized and able to keep track of a lot of moving pieces
Confident communicating with patients about appointments and recommended care
Someone who can stay calm when the schedule gets a little crazy
Positive attitude and ability to work well with others
Willingness to learn, grow, and jump in wherever needed
A good sense of humor doesn’t hurt—we appreciate someone who can laugh with us
Most importantly, we’re looking for someone who genuinely likes people. Our patients become people we know, remember, and care about. We want someone who enjoys that part of dentistry just as much as the scheduling side.
If you feel like your personality would fit in with our team, please don’t hesitate to reach out for an interview—even if you don’t check every box. We’re just as interested in who you are as what you’ve done.
Perks & Benefits:
Full-time schedule with a 3-day weekend every week (we’re closed Fridays!)
Opportunities for growth and development
Team-building events and travel opportunities
401(k) plan
Health benefits
Employee discount
Continuing education and paid training
Daily entertainment provided by Patrick (unofficial, but very real benefit)
How to Apply:
Send us your resume and a quick note about yourself. Tell us a little about what makes you you, why you think you'd be a good fit for our team, and what dental software you currently use or have experience with.
We’re excited to meet someone who brings great energy, cares about people, and wants to be part of something a little different!
Bonus points if you’ve already met Patrick on Instagram.
Work Location: In person
Pay: $19.00 - $24.00 per hour
