Overview
Claremore Family Dental is looking for a Front Desk/Receptionist. You will be the first point of contact and a welcoming role for our clinic. Your attention to detail and organizational skills will provide a pleasant experience for our patients. Responsibilities
Greet patients warmly and professionally, establishing a positive first impression.
Schedule appointments accurately using Open Dental.
Verify patient insurance coverage, explain treatment plans, and collect payments or co-pays confidently.
Manage medical records, including filing, documentation review, and updating patient information in compliance with HIPAA and confidentiality policies.
Handle phone communication with excellent phone etiquette, responding promptly to inquiries and appointment requests.
Assist with medical billing and collections.
Support clinical staff by coordinating care plans and ensuring all documentation is complete and compliant with health information management standards.
Qualifications
Proven experience in a medical or dental front desk setting with strong clerical and administrative skills.
Familiarity with Open Dental or similar operating systems.
Knowledge of medical terminology, billing procedures, and health insurance processes.
Computer skills and basic emailing knowledge.
Ability to communicate effectively in English; bilingual abilities are a plus to serve diverse patient populations.
Strong organizational skills with attention to detail for managing medical records and documentation review.
Demonstrated understanding of HIPAA regulations and clinical confidentiality policies.
Previous clinic or medical office experience is highly preferred; familiarity with medical billing, coding, and health information management is advantageous.
