Job Overview
We are seeking an energetic and detail-oriented Dental Front Desk Receptionist to join our dynamic dental team. In this vital role, you will be the first point of contact for patients, providing exceptional customer service while managing a variety of administrative tasks. Your enthusiasm and professionalism will help create a welcoming environment, ensuring smooth clinic operations from appointment scheduling to insurance verification. Responsibilities
Greet patients warmly and professionally, ensuring a positive first impression
Schedule appointments accurately using dental practice management software such as Dentrix or Eaglesoft
Verify insurance coverage and benefits, including Medicare and other third-party payers, utilizing systems like Epic, Meditech, or Athenahealth
Collect payments and perform medical collections with attention to detail and compliance with HIPAA regulations
Manage patient records and documentation review, ensuring accuracy in medical and dental records using EMR (Electronic Medical Records) systems like eClinicalWorks or similar platforms
Answer multi-line phone systems with excellent phone etiquette, providing clear communication and appointment coordination
Assist with insurance verification, claim submissions, and follow-up using CPT coding, ICD-9/10 coding, and medical billing procedures
Maintain organized filing of medical records, dental charts, and administrative documents
Support office management tasks including filing, data entry, and maintaining clinic supplies
Experience
Prior experience working as a dental receptionist or in a medical office setting is highly preferred
Demonstrated proficiency with dental practice management software such as Dentrix or Eaglesoft; familiarity with EMR systems like Epic or Meditech is advantageous
Strong knowledge of medical terminology, ICD coding (ICD-9/10), CPT coding, and insurance billing processes
Experience handling medical collections, insurance verification, and health information management
Bilingual abilities are a plus to serve diverse patient populations effectively
Excellent computer skills including Microsoft Office suite (Word, Excel) and typing proficiency (including 10-key typing)
Proven ability to deliver outstanding patient service with professionalism and compassion in a busy clinic environment
