We are seeking a dynamic and organized Dental Front Desk Receptionist to join our vibrant dental team! Duties
Greet patients warmly and professionally, creating a friendly and welcoming environment
Schedule appointments accurately using dental practice management software such as Dentrix or Eaglesoft
Verify insurance coverage and benefits, including Medicare, Medicaid, and other third-party providers
Collect payments, process medical collections, and handle billing using EMR systems like Epic, Meditech, or eClinicalWorks
Manage patient records with meticulous attention to confidentiality and HIPAA compliance
Review documentation for accuracy and completeness, ensuring proper coding with CPT, ICD-9, ICD-10 codes for billing purposes
Answer multi-line phone systems with professionalism, providing clear information and routing calls efficiently
Maintain organized filing systems for medical records and dental charts
Assist with intake procedures and patient check-in/out processes
Support office management tasks such as inventory control, appointment reminders, and general clerical duties
Qualifications
Proven experience in a dental office or medical administrative support role with strong front desk skills
Familiarity with dental terminology, medical coding (ICD-9/10, CPT), and health information management systems
Proficiency in EMR systems such as Dentrix, Eaglesoft, or similar platforms; experience with Epic or Meditech is a plus
Knowledge of insurance verification processes including Medicare and Medicaid policies
Excellent computer skills including Microsoft Office Suite; typing speed of at least 10 key digits per minute
Strong understanding of HIPAA regulations and patient confidentiality standards
Exceptional customer service skills with the ability to handle phone etiquette professionally in a busy environment
Bilingual abilities are highly desirable to serve diverse patient populations
Previous clinic or dental office experience preferred; familiarity with dental terminology and office management practices is advantageous
