Overview
Join our dynamic dental team as a Dental Receptionist, where your energy and exceptional organizational skills will be the first impression for our patients! In this vital role, you will serve as the welcoming face of our clinic, managing patient interactions, scheduling appointments, and ensuring smooth administrative operations. Your enthusiasm and attention to detail will help create a positive experience for every patient while supporting the clinical team with essential administrative tasks. This position offers an exciting opportunity to be part of a caring, fast-paced healthcare environment committed to delivering outstanding dental care. Hours are 7am-4pm M-Th with an hour lunch and 7am-1pm F.

Responsibilities
Greet patients warmly and professionally, providing excellent customer service at the front desk
Schedule, confirm, and manage patient appointments using OPEN DENTAL
Verify insurance coverage, process insurance claims, and handle billing and collections efficiently
Collect and review patient documentation, including medical histories and consent forms, ensuring accuracy and completeness
Maintain accurate medical records and update electronic health records (EHR) systems like eClinicalWorks or Meditech in compliance with HIPAA regulations
Answer multi-line phone systems promptly with professional phone etiquette; direct calls appropriately
Assist with administrative duties such as filing, data entry, managing medical records, and handling correspondence
Support clinic operations by coordinating patient intake, appointment reminders, and follow-up communications
Ensure compliance with healthcare regulations including HIPAA and CPT coding standards for billing purposes
Collaborate with clinical staff to facilitate smooth patient flow and efficient office management
Qualifications
Proven experience in a dental or medical office setting with strong knowledge of dental terminology
Knowledge of insurance verification processes
Strong understanding of HIPAA regulations and health information management standards
Excellent computer skills including proficiency in Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel) and typing accuracy (10 key typing)
Exceptional customer service skills combined with professional phone etiquette and clear communication abilities
Ability to handle multiple tasks efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail
Dental office experience, familiarity with dental terminology and office management practices is advantageous
