Job Summary
We are seeking an energetic and detail-oriented Dental Front Desk Receptionist to join our dynamic dental team. In this vital role, you will be the first point of contact for patients, providing exceptional customer service while managing a variety of administrative and clinical support tasks. Your enthusiasm and organizational skills will help ensure smooth daily operations, accurate patient records, and a welcoming environment for all visitors. Responsibilities
Greet patients warmly, verify insurance coverage , and collect necessary documentation during check-in and check-out processes
Schedule appointments efficiently using dental practice management software Curve Dental
Maintain and update patient records in Electronic Health Record (EHR) systems in Curve Dental Software
Manage multi-line phone systems with professional phone etiquette to answer inquiries promptly and direct calls appropriately
Review and process documentation related to medical and dental procedures, including CPT coding, ICD-10/ICD-9 coding, and medical billing procedures
Support office management tasks such as filing, maintaining medical records, and ensuring compliance with HIPAA regulations
Qualifications
Previous experience working in a dental or medical office environment is highly preferred; clinic experience is a plus
Strong knowledge of dental terminology, medical terminology, ICD coding, CPT coding, and insurance verification processes
Proficiency with EMR/EHR systems such as Curve Dental or similar is a plus
Excellent computer skills including Microsoft Office suite (Word, Excel) and typing speed of at least 10-key for efficient data entry
Exceptional customer service skills with the ability to handle patient inquiries professionally and courteously
Bilingual abilities (Portuguese and English)are desirable to serve diverse patient populations effectively
Familiarity with medical administrative support tasks such as filing, documentation review, appointment scheduling and inventory
Knowledge of HIPAA regulations to ensure patient privacy and confidentiality at all times
