Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and professional Dental Front Desk Receptionist to join our specialty dental practice. The ideal candidate will possess excellent communication skills, a strong understanding of dental office procedures, and a commitment to providing outstanding patient service. In this role, you will be the first point of contact for patients, managing appointments, insurance verification, and administrative tasks to ensure smooth clinic operations.
Duties
Greet patients warmly and professionally upon arrival, creating a welcoming environment.
Schedule patient appointments efficiently using Dentrix practice management software.
Verify insurance coverage and benefits, including Medicare and other health plans, ensuring accurate billing and coding.
Manage patient check-in and check-out processes, including collecting payments and updating medical records.
Handle multi-line phone systems with professionalism, providing clear and courteous communication.
Review and update patient documentation, ensuring compliance with HIPAA regulations and accurate medical records management.
Assist with insurance claims processing, including CPT coding, ICD-10/ICD-9 coding, and documentation review.
Maintain organized filing systems for medical records and office documents, supporting efficient clinic operations.
Support medical billing activities related to dental procedures and care plans as needed.
Skills
Proven experience in a dental or medical administrative support role with clinic or office experience.
Strong knowledge of dental terminology, medical terminology, and health information management systems such as Eaglesoft or Dentrix.
Excellent computer skills including proficiency in Microsoft Office suite and 10-key typing capabilities.
Exceptional customer service skills combined with phone etiquette and professional communication abilities.
Ability to handle sensitive information in accordance with HIPAA standards while maintaining confidentiality.
