Job Summary
We are seeking an energetic and detail-oriented Dental Front Desk Receptionist to join our dynamic dental team. Greet patients warmly and professionally, creating a positive first impression
Schedule appointments efficiently using dental practice management software such as Eaglesoft or Dentrix
Verify insurance coverage and benefits, including Medicare and Medicaid, ensuring accurate billing and claims processing
Collect payments, process co-pays, and handle medical collections with accuracy and confidentiality
Manage patient check-in and check-out procedures while updating electronic health records (EHR systems) like Epic, Meditech, or eClinicalWorks
Review documentation for completeness and accuracy, including care plans and medical records
Answer multi-line phone systems with excellent phone etiquette, directing calls appropriately
Maintain organized filing systems for medical records and office documents
Assist with insurance verification and billing processes using platforms such as Athenahealth or Health Information Management systems
Support office management tasks including data entry, typing reports, and maintaining compliance with HIPAA regulations
Requirements
Previous experience in a dental or medical front desk role is highly preferred; clinic or dental office experience is a plus
Strong knowledge of dental terminology, medical coding (CPT, ICD-9/10), and insurance procedures
Proficiency in EMR/EHR systems such as Epic, Meditech, Dentrix, Eaglesoft, or eClinicalWorks
Excellent computer skills including Microsoft Office suite (Word, Excel) and familiarity with office management software
Ability to handle sensitive patient information in accordance with HIPAA standards
Bilingual abilities are advantageous to serve diverse patient populations effectively
Strong organizational skills with attention to detail in documentation review and filing
Exceptional customer service skills paired with professional phone etiquette
Ability to multitask efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining a friendly demeanor
