Job Summary
We are seeking a dynamic and organized Dental Front Desk Receptionist to join our dental team. In this pivotal role, you will serve as the first point of contact for patients, ensuring a welcoming environment while managing a variety of administrative and clinical support tasks. Your energetic approach will help streamline daily operations, facilitate patient flow, and uphold the highest standards of patient service and confidentiality. Responsibilities
Greet patients warmly and professionally, creating a positive first impression
Schedule appointments efficiently using dental practice management software such as Dentrix
Verify insurance coverage, perform insurance eligibility checks, and handle insurance verifications with accuracy
Manage patient check-in and check-out processes, including updating medical records and collecting payments
Handle multi-line phone systems with excellent phone etiquette, directing calls appropriately
Maintain organized dental records and ensure compliance with HIPAA regulations for health information management
Assist with billing procedures, including dental collection processes
Support clinical staff by coordinating patient intake, reviewing documentation, and managing appointment schedules
Perform clerical duties such as filing, data entry (including 10 key typing), and maintaining office supplies
Ensure smooth clinic operations by managing front desk activities and providing exceptional customer service to patients
Skills
Proven experience is preferred in a dental or medical office environment with strong front desk or administrative support skills
Familiarity with dental terminology
knowledge of computer use, and Dentrix system
Knowledge of health information management practices including HIPAA compliance and documentation review
Ability to navigate dental office management software efficiently and accurately
Excellent computer skills with proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel)
Strong organizational skills with attention to detail in filing, record keeping, and scheduling
Exceptional customer service skills paired with professional phone etiquette and communication abilities
Bilingual abilities are highly desirable to serve diverse patient populations
Experience with insurance verification
Ability to handle multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment while maintaining professionalism
