We are seeking a dynamic and organized Dental Front Desk Receptionist to join our vibrant dental team! In this essential role, you will be the welcoming face of our practice, ensuring a smooth and positive experience for every patient from the moment they walk through the door. Your energetic approach and attention to detail will help coordinate appointments, manage patient records, verify insurance information, and support daily office operations. Duties
Greet patients warmly and professionally, creating a welcoming atmosphere for all visitors.
Schedule and confirm patient appointments using dental practice management software OpenDental.
Verify insurance coverage, process claims, and handle billing inquiries with accuracy and efficiency.
Manage multi-line phone systems with excellent phone etiquette, directing calls appropriately.
Assist with insurance verification and billing
Support office management tasks such as filing, faxing, copying, and maintaining organized medical records.
Handle patient intake procedures, including collecting demographic information and updating health histories.
Collaborate with clinical staff to ensure smooth clinic operations and effective communication regarding care plans.
Requirements
Proven experience in a dental or medical office environment with strong front desk or administrative support skills.
Familiarity with dental terminology, medical billing, ICD coding, CPT coding, and health information management systems a plus
Open Dental knowledge a plus
Knowledge of HIPAA regulations to maintain patient confidentiality and data security.
Excellent computer skills
Strong organizational skills with the ability to multitask efficiently in a fast-paced setting.
Exceptional customer service skills paired with professional phone etiquette and communication abilities.
Ability to verify insurance benefits accurately and process claims effectively;
Bilingual abilities are highly desirable to serve diverse patient populations.
Previous clinic or dental office experience is preferred; familiarity with dental terminology and office management software such as Eaglesoft or Dentrix is advantageous.
