Job Description
About us
Richard B Angell III, DMD, MSD is an established endodontic practice in Newport Beach, CA. We are professional, customer-centric and our goal is to provide endodontic care in a comfortable environment. We are not a 'do as many as you can' kind of practice or a 'flashy' kind of practice, rather, we strive to provide as close to ideal care as possible and we usually see between 2-5 patients per day (depending upon 'emergency' phone call volume). Our office is open Monday through Thursday 8:00am until 4:30pm - 5:00pm with Friday morning hours beginning at 8:00am usually finishing between 1:00pm - 3:00pm. Employees will be required to work in both the front office (moderate) and back office (moderate) office positions, this is a 'hybrid' back and front office job opening. Communication, agreeable demeanor, basic chairside assisting experience and computer competency are desirable traits. Honestly, I think it's an easy job (once completely trained) as long as the employee is willing to commit to learning a few new skills.
Our work environment includes:
Modern office setting
Growth opportunities
Front Office Assistant: e-mail resume to dr.angell@sbcglobal.net or fax to (949) 640-0021.
Duties:
- Oversee the daily operations of the front office including managing phone systems and personal relations, provide chairside assisting and central sterilization tasks as necessary.
- Ensure a positive and welcoming experience for all patients and visitors.
- Handle patient inquiries, concerns, and requests in a professional and timely manner.
- Manage insurance research.
- Coordinate information transfer with patients and referring offices.
- Maintain accurate records regarding patient information, account transactions, and inventory.
- Monitor and maintain cleanliness and organization of all office areas.
- Implement and enforce office policies and procedures to ensure a safe and secure environment for patients and staff.
Requirements:
- Previous experience in a similar role in the dental industry is preferred but anything can be taught if the employee is willing to learn.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Proficient in using phone systems and computer software for appointment and patient management.
- Attention to detail and strong organizational skills.
- Ability to multitask and prioritize tasks in a quick-paced environment.
