Front Office Coordinator – Dental Care of Riverside
Dental Care of Riverside is looking for a friendly, organized, and dependable Front Office Coordinator to join our dental team.
In this important role, you will help create a smooth, welcoming, and organized experience for both our patients and clinical team. As one of the first points of contact for our patients, you will play an important role in scheduling, patient communication, insurance coordination, and the overall flow of daily front office operations.
This position is ideal for someone who thrives in a fast-paced dental environment, enjoys helping people, and values teamwork, professionalism, and excellent patient service. Spanish communication skills are especially helpful in supporting clear, comfortable communication across our diverse patient community.
Responsibilities
Manage daily front office operations, including answering phones, scheduling appointments, checking patients in and out, and supporting efficient patient flow
Create a warm, professional, and positive experience for patients from their first interaction through checkout
Verify dental insurance benefits and assist patients with questions regarding estimated patient portions and financial arrangements
Coordinate treatment scheduling and help patients understand next steps related to recommended care
Process payments and maintain accurate patient account information
Assist with billing, insurance follow-up, and other front office administrative tasks as needed
Maintain accurate and confidential patient records and documentation
Coordinate effectively with doctors, hygienists, assistants, and administrative team members to support smooth daily operations
Assist with appointment confirmations, recall, unscheduled treatment follow-up, and other patient communication efforts
Maintain organized front desk systems, patient forms, and administrative workflows
Protect confidential patient information and follow HIPAA requirements and established office policies
Monitor the daily schedule and proactively help address openings, scheduling changes, and patient needs
Provide administrative support to the clinical and leadership teams as needed
Experience & Qualifications
Previous experience in a dental front office, dental receptionist, patient coordinator, or similar dental administrative position is preferred
Familiarity with dental insurance verification, treatment scheduling, billing, and patient communication is a plus
Strong customer service skills with a patient-focused approach
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
Ability to multitask, prioritize responsibilities, and remain composed in a busy dental office
Comfortable collaborating with both front office and clinical team members
Professional, dependable, and team-oriented
Understanding of HIPAA and appropriate handling of confidential patient information
Spanish communication skills are a valued plus given the communication needs of our patient community
