Dental Front Office Receptionist

Growing Smiles Pediatric Dental office is looking for a professional, organized, energetic and friendly Dental Receptionist to join our practice in Lakeview. Our office is both fee for service and work with some PPO dental insurance.

We provide the highest quality and most compassionate dental care to our patients from infancy through adolescence, including those with special healthcare needs. Our pediatric dentists are board certified and affiliated with Lurie Children’s Hospital.

Primary responsibilities include:
Greet and welcome patients and visitors in a friendly and professional manner
Answer phone calls, take messages, and transfer calls to appropriate staff members
Schedule appointments and manage multiple provider schedules
Perform clerical duties such as filing, photocopying, and scanning documents
Assist with project coordination and organization of office events
Provide support to patients and address inquiries or concerns
Corresponding with other offices in regards to patient treatment
Confirming appointments via phone call/text/email
Maintain patient recall reports
Checking patients in and collecting co-pay / balances
Verifying insurance benefits

Requirements:

*Previous experience in Ascend

- Previous experience in a similar role preferred

- Excellent verbal and written communication skills

- Strong organizational skills with attention to detail

- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook)

- Ability to multitask and prioritize tasks effectively

- Professional demeanor with excellent customer service skills

- High school diploma or equivalent
