Job Summary
We are seeking an energetic and detail-oriented Dental Front Office Receptionist to join our dynamic dental team. In this vital role, you will serve as the first point of contact for patients, ensuring a welcoming and professional environment. Your responsibilities will include managing patient scheduling, verifying insurance information, handling medical and dental records, and providing exceptional customer service. The ideal candidate is highly organized, proficient in dental and medical administrative tasks, and passionate about delivering outstanding patient care. This position offers an exciting opportunity to be part of a collaborative healthcare setting where your skills make a meaningful difference every day. Bilingual Spanish speaking a plus.
Responsibilities
Greet patients warmly and manage the check-in/check-out process with professionalism and efficiency
Schedule appointments using dental practice management software such as Curve Dental( Willing to train)
Verify insurance coverage, process claims, and handle billing
Maintain accurate dental and medical records
Answer multi-line phone systems with excellent phone etiquette, directing calls appropriately and taking detailed messages
Assist patients with intake forms, documentation review, and explanation of treatment plans using dental terminology
Ensure compliance with HIPAA regulations by safeguarding patient information and maintaining confidentiality at all times
Qualifications
Proven experience in a dental familiarity in front desk or administrative support roles
Strong knowledge of dental terminology
Proficiency in Curve Dental Software
Excellent computer skills including Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel) and typing accuracy (10 key typing)
Exceptional customer service skills with the ability to communicate effectively with diverse patient populations; bilingual abilities are a plus
Knowledge of HIPAA compliance standards and health information management practices
Prior dental office experience is a must
Strong organizational skills with the ability to multitask efficiently in a fast-paced environment
