Job Description
Gossett Implant and Oral Surgery is looking for a full time Dental Front Office Team Member and treatment coordinator. The job responsibility is to fill in as dental receptionist or dental treatment coordinator as needed. As a Dental Receptionist you will be the first point of contact for our company. Our Dental Receptionist’s duties include offering administrative support across the organization. We are looking for a good team member with a pleasant personality, and great communications kills, as this is also a customer service role. You will be expected to Welcome our patients, gather information and streamline their wait while effectively keeping our business on schedule. You should be able to deal with emergencies in a timely and effective manner, while streamlining office operations. Multitasking and communication skills are essential for this position. ions. Prior dental or oral surgery experience will have priority when interviewing. We have multiple locations, so travel between office locations will be expected on occasion.
Responsibilities include but are not limited to
Greet and welcome Patients
Answer, screen and forward incoming phone calls
Ensure reception area is tidy and presentable.
Work with referral offices to ensure continuity of patient care
Perform other clerical receptionist duties such as filing, photocopying, transcribing and faxing
Use scheduling guidelines to ensure daily goals are met
Verify insurance
Present treatment plans and finance options
Referral letters: consult and surgery
Check out patients
Prepare insurance claims daily
Close out End of Day
Work referrals, cancellations and unscheduled treatment reports
Skills
Proven work experience as a Dental Receptionist, Dental Treatment Coordinator or Insurance Specialist is not required but is requested.
Proficiency in Microsoft Suite
Experience with office equipment (fax machines and printers)
Professional attitude and appearance (Dress Code is enforced)
Written and verbal communication skills
Encourage teamwork atmosphere throughout the office daily
Positive Customer service attitude
Excellent organizational skills
Multitasking and time-management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks
Knowledge and Abilities: Ability to work independently and cooperatively, set priorities and complete tasks: must be well organized and able to maintain files. Ability to deal with confidential and sensitive information. Knowledge of rules, regulations and laws applicable to a medical practice. Must be detail oriented and able to meet deadlines. Flexibility to manage changing priorities. Ability to work independently. Excellent verbal and written skills. Proficient with computers and office software products. Must understand how this position positively impacts the revenue cycle
Organizational Data: This is a non-exempt position, supervised by the Administrative Manager. This position does not supervise staff.
