Dental Hygenist PT needed for Periodontal Group Practice

Duties
Perform thorough dental cleanings, including scaling and root planing procedures, tailored to periodontal needs
Conduct patient assessments by reviewing medical histories, vital signs, and current dental conditions
Educate patients on oral hygiene practices, periodontal disease prevention, and post-treatment care
Assist with dental procedures using four-handed dentistry techniques to ensure efficiency and comfort
Take and interpret medical imaging such as X-rays while maintaining infection control standards and aseptic techniques
Manage medical records accurately within EMR systems like Eaglesoft or Dentrix, ensuring HIPAA compliance
Review documentation for accuracy, update medical coding, and facilitate seamless communication between team members
Experience
Proven experience as a Dental Hygienist in a dental clinic or office setting, preferably within a periodontal or specialty practice
Familiarity with dental terminology, infection control protocols, and anatomy knowledge relevant to oral health care
Hands-on experience with chairside assisting during periodontal procedures and general dentistry treatments
Knowledge of EMR systems such as Eaglesoft or Dentrix for documentation review and medical records management
Strong understanding of HIPAA regulations, medical terminology, and medical coding practices related to dental care
Ability to perform patient care with compassion while maintaining high standards of infection control and aseptic technique
Prior experience working with pediatric dentistry or treating pediatric patients is a plus but not required
