Job Description
Are you a caring, detail-oriented dental professional looking for a full-time opportunity? Estero Bay Dental is looking for a Dental Hygiene Assistant to join our team!
As a Dental Hygiene Assistant, you’ll work closely with our dental hygienists to support patient care, keep the hygiene department running smoothly, and help create a positive experience for every patient. We’re looking for someone who is dependable, personable, team-oriented, and excited to grow within a supportive dental practice.

Key Responsibilities
Assist the dental hygienist with patient care and clinical procedures
Prepare and sterilize instruments and treatment rooms
Take dental X-rays as needed
Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records
Follow all infection control and OSHA guidelines
Provide patients with pre- and post-treatment instructions
Help manage the hygiene schedule and maintain an efficient workflow
Restock and organize hygiene supplies
Assist with presenting treatment plans when needed
Support other clinical team members as needed to ensure smooth patient care
Requirements
Previous dental assisting experience preferred, especially experience working with a hygiene team
X-ray certification required or willingness to obtain certification
Strong communication and interpersonal skills
Dependable, organized, and detail-oriented
Team-focused with a positive attitude
Comfortable working in a fast-paced dental environment
Familiarity with dental software, especially Dentrix, is a plus
