Responsibilities
Prepare treatment rooms by sterilizing dental instruments, setting up necessary supplies, and ensuring all equipment is functioning properly in accordance with dental sterilization procedures and infection prevention management.

Assist hygienist during various procedures including.

Take dental x-rays and 3D scans using advanced medical imaging technology while maintaining proper aseptic technique and adhering to radiation safety standards.

Manage patient flow by scheduling appointments, updating medical records in DENTRIX, and verifying patient information following HIPAA regulations for clinical confidentiality policies.

Monitor vital signs and assist with patient care by addressing patient concerns, explaining procedures using appropriate dental terminology, and ensuring a positive experience from check-in to check-out.

Support the dental team with administrative tasks such as patient management software updates, medical documentation, coding procedures for insurance purposes, and maintaining organized medical records.

Uphold infection control standards through proper dental instrument processing, sterilization procedures, and maintaining a clean clinical environment aligned with healthcare infection prevention and control expertise.

Skills
Proficiency with EMR systems like Dentrix preferred but not required
Knowledge of dental terminology, anatomy knowledge, and familiarity with dental equipment including X-ray machines and 3D scanners.

Experience in chairside assisting techniques
Strong understanding of infection prevention management practices including aseptic technique and dental sterilization procedures.

Ability to communicate effectively using medical terminology while providing excellent patient care in pediatric or general dentistry settings.

Skilled in medical imaging techniques including dental X-ray procedures while ensuring safety protocols are followed.

Healthcare infection prevention expertise combined with attention to detail in medical documentation and record keeping.

ACTIVE RADIOLOGY LICENSE REQUIRED
CORONAL POLISHING CERTIFICATE PREFERRED BUT NOT REQUIRED
