Job Description
We are currently seeking a part-time Dental Hygienist for part-time employment, for our small, friendly, family practice located in Nepean, Ontario.

Schedule:
Monday (8am -6pm), Tuesday (8am -6pm) , Thursday (7:30am-3:30pm)

Job Description:
Your responsibilities will include:
Performing Medical health history screening and updates;
Conducting baseline and routine assessments (including full mouth charting, probing, oral cancer screening);
Taking radiographs and impressions/digital scans, & intra oral photos;
Identifying conditions and oral disease such as: gingivitis, caries or periodontitis;
Dental Hygiene treatment planning, including patient specific preventive dental care (scaling, prophy, fluoride etc. as required);
Educating patients by providing oral hygiene instruction, plaque control instructions and postoperative instructions as required;
Processing instruments and preparing treatment rooms;
Maintaining accurate documentation/charting;
Identifying gaps in clinical schedule and assist with scheduling, such as: booking preventive recall appointments, following up with outstanding treatment plans;
Collaborating with colleagues during down-time in schedule (Dental Hygienists, Dental Assistants, Dentists and Administration)
Requirements:
Diploma or Degree in Dental Hygiene
Registered Dental Hygienist in good standing with the CDHO
Experience ensuring infection control
Familiar with Abeldent
Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with a friendly and approachable demeanor.
Excellent organizational abilities, attention to detail, and multi-tasking abilities.
Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite
A positive attitude and a passion for providing exceptional patient care.
