Dental Hygienist

Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled part-time Dental Hygienist to join our dental practice. The ideal candidate will be responsible for providing high-quality dental care and education to our patients while ensuring compliance with all health regulations. This role requires a strong understanding of dental hygiene practices, patient assessment, and the ability to work effectively within a team.

Responsibilities
Conduct thorough patient assessments, including medical history reviews and oral examinations.

Perform dental cleanings, scaling, and polishing of teeth to maintain optimal oral health.

Educate patients on proper oral hygiene techniques and the importance of regular dental visits.

Assist in the development of individualized treatment plans based on patient needs and preferences.

Maintain accurate patient records using Dentrix or similar systems, ensuring compliance with HIPAA regulations.

Collaborate with dentists and dental assistants in various procedures, including general dentistry and pediatrics.

Utilize medical imaging technologies to assist in diagnosing dental conditions.

Stay updated on the latest advancements in dental hygiene practices and technologies.

Experience
Proven experience as a Dental Hygienist or similar role is preferred.

Strong knowledge of anatomy related to oral health and hygiene practices.

Familiarity with dental assisting duties is a plus.

Experience working with pediatric patients is advantageous but not mandatory.

Proficiency in using dental software systems, particularly Dentrix, is desirable.
