Dental Hygienist

Arguello Dentistry is looking for a confident, passionate, and proactive Registered Dental Hygienist who understands that excellent hygiene care is about much more than performing a cleaning.

We are looking for someone who educates patients, builds relationships, identifies their needs, and takes ownership of helping them move forward with appropriate care.

Our ideal hygienist:
Holds an active Florida RDH license
Is fluent in English and Spanish
Provides excellent clinical hygiene and periodontal care
Is confident discussing periodontal disease and recommended treatment
Uses X-rays, intraoral images, and clinical findings to educate patients
Can clearly explain the difference between a prophy and periodontal therapy
Builds genuine relationships and earns patient trust
Explains the “WHY” behind treatment rather than simply telling patients what they need
Reinforces doctor recommendations and helps patients understand the importance of completing treatment
Is comfortable recommending clinically appropriate products such as fluoride and chlorhexidine and explaining their benefits
Takes an active role in helping patients schedule their recommended care
Follows up with patients when appropriate
Takes ownership of maintaining a productive hygiene schedule
Is willing to help fill schedule openings by reaching out to appropriate patients and working with the front desk
Participates in morning huddles prepared and engaged
Communicates effectively with the doctor and entire team
Is dependable, accountable, positive, and willing to help wherever needed
We are not looking for someone who simply wants to clean teeth and move to the next patient.

We want a hygienist who can look at an X-ray with a patient and say:
“Let me show you what I'm seeing and explain why this is important.”
Someone who can recognize when a patient needs periodontal therapy instead of a routine prophy and confidently explain why.

Someone who understands that patient education creates understanding, understanding creates trust, and trust helps patients accept the care they need.

Someone who takes ownership when the schedule is slow rather than simply waiting for the front desk to fill it.
