Overview
Join our dynamic dental team as a Dental Hygienist and become a vital part of delivering exceptional oral healthcare! Duties
Perform thorough dental cleanings, including scaling and polishing to remove plaque and tartar buildup
Take and develop dental radiographs (X-rays) accurately while adhering to safety protocols
Assess patient vital signs and medical history to ensure safe treatment planning
Educate patients on proper oral hygiene techniques and preventive care strategies
Assist the dentist during procedures with chairside support, including four-handed dentistry techniques
Maintain accurate and detailed medical records using electronic health record (EHR) system Open Dental
Follow infection prevention protocols, including aseptic techniques and infection control measures, to ensure patient safety and compliance with healthcare regulations
Requirements
Valid Dental Hygienist license in accordance with state or regional licensing boards
License to provide Local Anesthetic will increase hourly rate offered.
Proven experience working in general dentistry or pediatric dentistry environments
Proficiency with dental software systems such as Open Dental for documentation and records management
Strong knowledge of dental terminology, anatomy, and medical terminology relevant to dental care
Experience with medical imaging, X-ray procedures, and vital signs monitoring
Ability to perform chairside assisting efficiently within a fast-paced setting, including pediatric dentistry when applicable
Knowledge of HIPAA regulations and maintaining patient confidentiality at all times
Familiarity with infection prevention management, healthcare infection control practices, and aseptic techniques
Excellent communication skills to educate patients effectively and collaborate with team members
