Perform thorough dental cleanings, including scaling and polishing to remove plaque and tartar buildup
Conduct patient assessments by reviewing medical histories, vital signs, and current dental conditions
Educate patients on proper oral hygiene techniques and personalized care plans to promote lifelong dental health
Assist the dentist during examinations, procedures, and chairside activities using four-handed dentistry techniques
Take and develop medical imaging such as X-rays while adhering to infection control protocols and aseptic techniques
Review and update medical records accurately within electronic medical record (EMR) systems like Curve Hero
Ensure compliance with HIPAA regulations by maintaining patient confidentiality and secure documentation review
Skills
Proficiency in dental software systems including Curve Hero for scheduling, documentation, and billing
Strong knowledge of dental terminology, anatomy, infection control, and aseptic techniques
Skilled in chairside assisting, including handling dental instruments and supporting general dentistry procedures
Ability to perform vital signs assessment, dental imaging, and patient care with attention to detail
Excellent communication skills to educate patients effectively and collaborate seamlessly with the dental team
