Job Description
Join our dynamic dental team as a Dental Hygienist and play a vital role in delivering exceptional patient care while promoting optimal oral health. In this energetic and rewarding position, you will utilize your expertise to perform thorough dental cleanings, assessments, and patient education. Schedule: Friday and Sunday, 9:00 AM – 3:00 PM.
Duties
Perform comprehensive dental cleanings, including scaling, polishing, and fluoride treatments to maintain optimal oral health.
Conduct patient assessments by reviewing medical histories, vital signs, and current dental conditions to inform treatment plans.
Assist with chairside procedures such as four-handed dentistry to ensure smooth and efficient patient care.
Take and develop medical imaging (X-rays) while adhering to infection control and aseptic techniques.
Educate patients on proper oral hygiene practices, preventive care, and post-treatment instructions to foster long-term health habits.
Maintain accurate medical records, document treatment details, review documentation for accuracy, and ensure compliance with HIPAA regulations.
Qualifications
Valid state licensure as a Dental Hygienist with current certification to practice in a clinical setting.
Proven experience in dental office environments, including general dentistry and pediatric dentistry settings.
Proficiency with EMR systems such as Eaglesoft or Dentrix is highly preferred.
Strong knowledge of dental terminology, anatomy, infection control protocols, and HIPAA compliance standards.
Excellent patient care skills with the ability to communicate effectively across diverse age groups.
Familiarity with medical terminology, documentation review processes, and medical coding practices.
Ability to perform chairside assisting using aseptic techniques while maintaining high standards of infection prevention.
