Overview
We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Dental Hygienist to join our dental practice. The ideal candidate will play a vital role in providing high-quality dental care to our patients, ensuring their oral health is maintained and improved. The Dental Hygienist will work closely with the dental team to deliver exceptional patient experiences while adhering to the highest standards of infection control and patient assessment.
Duties
- Perform thorough dental cleanings and examinations, including scaling and polishing teeth.
- Conduct patient assessments, including reviewing medical histories and documenting findings accurately.
- Educate patients on proper oral hygiene techniques and the importance of regular dental visits.
- Implement infection control protocols to maintain a safe and sterile environment.
- Assist in pediatric dentistry procedures as needed, ensuring a comfortable experience for younger patients.
- Utilize Oryx dental software for medical documentation and patient records management.
- Collaborate with the dental team to develop treatment plans tailored to individual patient needs.
- Maintain knowledge of anatomy relevant to dentistry to provide informed care.
Experience
Candidates should possess the following skills and qualifications:
- Proficiency in medical documentation practices related to dental care.
- Strong understanding of infection control measures within a dental setting.
- Experience in patient assessment techniques and effective communication with patients.
- Familiarity with dental assisting tasks is advantageous but not mandatory.
- Knowledge of aseptic technique to ensure patient safety during procedures.
- Experience with pediatric dentistry is preferred, enhancing care for younger patients.
- Proficient knowledge of anatomy as it pertains to dental health is essential.
This position is for Mondays, Wednesdays and Thursdays. (3 days a week) No weekends or evenings.
