Job Summary
We are seeking a passionate and detail-oriented Registered Dental Hygienist to join our vibrant dental team. Duties
Perform comprehensive dental cleanings, including scaling and root planning, periodontal maintenance and polishing.
Conduct patient assessments, medical histories, and dental x-rays using digital imaging equipment.
Educate patients on proper oral hygiene practices, preventive care, and post-treatment instructions to enhance their dental health.
Utilize electronic health records (EHR) systems such as Eaglesoft to document patient information accurately and review medical records for treatment planning.
Maintain strict infection prevention protocols through aseptic techniques, sterilization of dental instruments, and adherence to healthcare infection control standards.
Manage dental equipment operation, troubleshoot issues promptly, and ensure all tools are functioning correctly for safe use.
Support compliance with HIPAA regulations by maintaining patient confidentiality and managing medical records securely.
Perform dental x-rays (including X-ray interpretation) following proper radiation safety procedures.
Educate patients about dental terminology, procedures, and the importance of regular visits to foster trust and understanding.
Experience
Licensed as a Registered Dental Hygienist in Maryland.
Proficiency with EHR systems such as Eaglesoft is highly preferred.
Strong knowledge of general dentistry procedures, implant dentistry practices, and periodontal patient care is advantageous.
Familiarity with dental terminology, dental imaging techniques, and anatomy relevant to oral health.
Experience in infection prevention management, including sterilization processes and aseptic techniques.
Excellent communication skills for client engagement and team collaboration.
Ability to perform dental assisting duties when needed with competence in chairside support during various procedures is a plus..
Knowledge of HIPAA compliance management and documentation review processes to ensure legal adherence and data accuracy.
