Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Dental Hygienist to join our dental team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for providing high-quality patient care, performing dental cleanings, and assisting in various dental procedures. This role requires a strong understanding of dental terminology, infection control practices, and patient assessment techniques. The Dental Hygienist will work closely with dentists and other staff to ensure a positive experience for patients of all ages. Our office has a 4 day work week, Monday- Thursday.
Duties
Perform thorough dental cleanings and periodontal treatments for patients.
Conduct patient assessments, including taking vital signs and reviewing medical histories.
Utilize dental software such as Dentrix for patient documentation and record-keeping.
Assist in chairside procedures, ensuring a smooth workflow during treatments.
Educate patients on oral hygiene practices and preventive care.
Maintain a clean and organized work environment adhering to aseptic techniques.
Ensure compliance with HIPAA regulations and maintain confidentiality of patient records.
Collaborate with the dental team to provide exceptional patient care in both general and pediatric dentistry settings.
Stay updated on current dental practices, terminology, and infection control protocols.
Requirements
Valid Dental Hygienist license in the state of practice.
Strong knowledge of anatomy, and dental terminology.
Previous experience in a dental office or clinic setting is highly desirable.
Familiarity with medical imaging techniques is a plus.
Excellent communication skills with a focus on patient care and comfort.
