Overview
Join our dynamic dental team as a passionate and dedicated Dental Hygienist! In this vital role, you will provide exceptional patient care by performing professional dental cleanings, educating patients on oral health, and supporting the overall efficiency of the dental practice. Duties
Perform thorough dental cleanings, including scaling, polishing, and fluoride treatments to promote optimal oral health.
Take and develop dental radiographs (X-rays), ensuring accuracy and patient comfort.
Educate patients on proper oral hygiene practices, including brushing, flossing, and dietary recommendations.
Assist the dentist during examinations and procedures, ensuring all instruments and materials are prepared and sterilized.
Maintain detailed patient records using dental practice management software such as Dentrix.
Manage appointment scheduling, patient follow-ups, and ensure a smooth flow of daily operations.
Support pediatric patients by creating a friendly environment that eases anxiety and encourages good dental habits.
Stay current with industry best practices in orthodontics, pediatrics, and infection control standards to provide top-tier care.
Skills
Proficiency with Dentrix or similar dental practice management software for scheduling and record keeping.
Knowledge of orthodontics procedures to assist with braces adjustments or related treatments.
Bilingual abilities are highly valued to effectively communicate with diverse patient populations.
Experience in dental assisting, including chairside support during various procedures.
Familiarity with pediatric dentistry to engage young patients positively.
Strong customer service skills to ensure a welcoming experience for all patients.
Understanding of medical terminology relevant to dentistry for accurate documentation and communication.
