Job Summary:
We are excited to announce that we are are seeking a skilled and compassionate Dental Hygienist to join our team! As a Dental Hygienist, you will play a crucial role in providing quality dental care to our patients. Your primary responsibility will be to perform dental cleanings and assist the dentist in various procedures. If you are passionate about oral health and have excellent communication skills, we would love to hear from you.
Responsibilities:
- Perform thorough dental cleanings, including scaling, root planning, and polishing
- Take dental x-rays
- Conduct oral cancer screenings
- Administer local anesthesia as directed by the dentist
- Educate patients on proper oral hygiene techniques and provide personalized oral care instructions
- Assist the dentist during procedures by handing them instruments and maintaining a sterile field
- Perform dental charting and maintain accurate patient records
- Follow strict infection control protocols and maintain a clean and organized work area
- Stay up-to-date with advancements in dental hygiene techniques and technologies
Skills:
- Proficiency in using computer-aided design (CAD) software for treatment planning
- Knowledge of aseptic technique to maintain a sterile environment
- Familiarity with dental office procedures and workflows
- Ability to assess patient needs and develop appropriate treatment plans
- Understanding of medical coding for accurate billing purposes
- Strong knowledge of dental anatomy and oral health conditions
- Familiarity with HIPAA regulations for patient privacy and confidentiality
- Excellent documentation skills for maintaining accurate medical records
