Job Overview
We are seeking a positive & engaging Dental Hygienist to join our pediatric dental team! In this vital role, you will deliver exceptional patient care by performing professional dental cleanings, assisting with patient assessments, and supporting children & parents through education. Your expertise will help create a welcoming environment where patients & parents feel comfortable and enjoy their dental experience. This paid position offers an exciting opportunity to work in a fast-paced, friendly setting dedicated to educating children and parents and focusing on patient care.
Responsibilities
Perform thorough dental cleanings, including scaling and polishing to remove plaque and tartar buildup
Assist with patient assessment by reviewing medical history and documenting dental concerns accurately
Educate patients on proper oral hygiene techniques and post-treatment care instructions
Maintain strict infection control protocols using aseptic techniques to ensure a safe environment for patients and staff
Operate dental imaging equipment for X-rays and other diagnostic procedures, ensuring high-quality images for accurate diagnosis
Manage electronic medical records (EMR systems) to document treatment details precisely
Review documentation for accuracy, ensuring compliance with HIPAA regulations and medical coding standards
Requirements
Valid Dental Hygienist license in accordance with the State of Oregon
Proven experience working in a dental office or clinic environment, preferably with pediatric dentistry experience
Strong knowledge of dental terminology, anatomy, medical terminology, and infection control procedures
Excellent patient care skills with the ability to communicate effectively and empathetically with diverse patient populations. The age range of our patients is from infant through 18-including patients with special needs. Experience with children and teenagers is a must
Knowledge of HIPAA compliance standards related to medical records and patient privacy
Ability to work efficiently within an energetic team

Ideally we're searching for someone to work 4 days a week. This full time position would offer medical, dental & vision benefits as well as 401(k). We are open to 1-3 days as well. Specifically looking for someone for Mondays & Wednesdays
Pay: $18,400.00 - $73,600.00 per year
