Responsibilities:

- Perform dental hygiene procedures, including cleaning teeth, periodontal probing, oral cancer screening, OHI, removing plaque and stains, and applying fluoride treatments for children and adults

- Take dental x-rays and perform other diagnostic tests as needed

- Educate patients on proper oral hygiene techniques and provide personalized recommendations for at-home care

- Maintain accurate patient records and ensure compliance with HIPAA regulations

- Collaborate with the dental team to provide comprehensive patient care

- Stay up-to-date with advancements in dental technology and techniques
Assistant available as needed

- Perform needed sterilization procedures to ensure adequate available instrumentation
Perform checkout of patients prior to dismissal
Qualifications:

- Valid state dental hygiene license

- Associate's degree in dental hygiene or greater

- Familiarity with medical imaging systems and software (EAGLESOFT) is desired not required

- Knowledge of medical coding and billing procedures

- Strong understanding of human anatomy, particularly oral anatomy

- Excellent communication skills and ability to educate patients on oral health

- Ability to work well in a team environment and collaborate with other dental professionals
Preferred Skills:

- Strong interpersonal skills with desire to provide comfortable care
