Overview
Join our dynamic dental team as a Registered Dental Hygienist and become a vital part of delivering exceptional oral healthcare! ***In this non-traditional hygiene position, you will help with new patient exams, anesthetize surgery patients, and participate in follow-up appointments.*** Your expertise will help patients achieve healthier smiles while fostering positive experiences at every visit. Duties
Conduct oral health assessments and record patient histories accurately
Educate patients on proper brushing, flossing techniques, and overall oral hygiene practices
Take and develop dental radiographs (X-rays) following safety protocols
Assist the dentist during examinations and procedures with efficiency and professionalism
Provide postoperative instructions and reinforce treatment plans to ensure patient understanding
Maintain strict infection control standards to ensure a safe environment for patients and staff
Experience
Valid licensure as a Registered Dental Hygienist with certification to administer local anesthetic in accordance with state or regional regulations
Proven experience in dental hygiene practice, preferably in a fast-paced clinical setting
Strong knowledge of dental anatomy, procedures, and infection control protocols
Excellent communication skills to effectively educate and connect with diverse patient populations
Ability to work independently while collaborating seamlessly with the dental team
Familiarity with dental software systems for charting and recordkeeping is preferred
