Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Dental Hygienist to join our dynamic dental team on Tuesdays . The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in providing exceptional patient care, ensuring the highest standards of hygiene and comfort during dental procedures. This position requires a strong understanding of dental terminology, patient management, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
Responsibilities
Conduct thorough dental cleanings and examinations for patients, ensuring optimal oral health.
Educate patients on proper oral hygiene practices and preventive care.
Assist in the documentation of medical records and maintain accurate patient files in compliance with HIPAA regulations.
Utilize Dentrix software for scheduling, record keeping, and managing patient information.
Implement aseptic techniques to maintain a sterile environment during procedures.
Collaborate with dentists in providing comprehensive care, including four-handed dentistry techniques.
Provide support in pediatric dentistry as needed, adapting approaches to meet the needs of younger patients.
Stay updated on dental terminology and best practices to enhance patient education and care.
Requirements
Valid Dental Hygienist license in the state of practice.
Proficiency in Dentrix or similar dental management systems is preferred.
Strong knowledge of HIPAA regulations and commitment to maintaining patient confidentiality.
Familiarity with aseptic techniques and infection control practices.
Excellent communication skills with the ability to build rapport with patients of all ages.
Strong organizational skills and attention to detail, particularly regarding medical records and patient care documentation.
Ability to work collaboratively within a team-oriented environment while also being self-motivated.
