Job Description

Thursday 10- 6pm
Responsibilities
Perform comprehensive dental cleanings, including scaling, polishing, and fluoride treatments to maintain optimal oral health.

Assess patient medical history and vital signs to ensure safe and effective treatment procedures.

Educate patients on proper oral hygiene practices, preventive care, and treatment options tailored to their needs.

Assist the dentist during examinations and procedures with chairside assisting, ensuring smooth workflow and patient comfort.

Take and develop dental radiographs (medical imaging) while following infection control protocols and aseptic techniques.

Review medical records and documentation for accuracy, completeness, and compliance with HIPAA regulations.

Maintain detailed dental records using EMR (Electronic Medical Records) systems such as Eaglesoft or Dentrix, ensuring precise documentation review and medical coding.

Implement infection control standards, including sterilization of instruments and maintaining a sterile environment in accordance with OSHA guidelines.

Monitor patient responses during procedures, providing support with pediatric dentistry techniques when working with children or pediatrics cases.

Support general dentistry services by managing patient flow efficiently and providing excellent patient care from check-in to check-out.

Experience
Proven experience working as a Dental Hygienist in a fast-paced dental clinic or office setting.

Strong knowledge of dental terminology, anatomy, infection control procedures, and aseptic techniques.

Familiarity with EMR systems such as Eaglesoft or Dentrix for documentation review, medical coding, and record management.

Experience performing chairside assisting in both general dentistry and pediatric dentistry environments.

Ability to accurately measure vital signs and interpret medical imaging results for patient assessment purposes.

Knowledge of HIPAA regulations related to patient privacy and medical records confidentiality.
