Join our dynamic dental team as a Dental Hygienist and become a vital part of delivering exceptional patient care! Duties
Perform comprehensive dental cleanings, including scaling and polishing to remove plaque and tartar buildup
Conduct patient assessments by taking vital signs, medical history, and dental examinations
Assist with chairside procedures using four-handed dentistry techniques to enhance efficiency and patient comfort
Capture and review medical imaging, such as X-rays, ensuring proper technique and safety protocols are followed
Educate patients on oral hygiene practices, preventive care, and treatment plans tailored to pediatric dentistry needs
Maintain accurate medical records and document all procedures in electronic medical record (EMR) systems like Eaglesoft or Dentrix
Follow infection control protocols, aseptic techniques, and HIPAA regulations to ensure a safe environment for patients and staff
Requirements
Valid Dental Hygiene license with current state licensure in good standing
Proven experience in dental office settings, including general dentistry and pediatric dentistry environments
Proficiency with EMR systems such as Eaglesoft or Dentrix; familiarity with medical coding is a plus
Strong knowledge of dental terminology, anatomy, infection control practices, and medical terminology
Ability to perform dental assisting tasks including chairside assisting, documentation review, and patient care coordination
Excellent communication skills to effectively educate patients of all ages about their oral health needs
Knowledge of HIPAA regulations to ensure confidentiality of patient information
