Overview
Join our dynamic dental team as a Dental Hygienist and become a vital part of delivering exceptional patient care in a vibrant, patient-focused environment! In this role, you will work on Fridays, utilizing your expertise to promote oral health, perform thorough cleanings, including deep cleanings, and support our patients through education and compassionate care. Duties
Perform comprehensive dental cleanings, including scaling, polishing, and fluoride treatments to maintain optimal oral health.
Conduct patient assessments by reviewing medical histories, vital signs, and current dental conditions to tailor personalized treatment plans.
Assist the dentist during examinations and procedures using four-handed dentistry techniques to ensure efficiency and comfort.
Take and interpret imaging such as X-rays, ensuring proper positioning and safety protocols are followed.
Educate patients on oral hygiene practices, preventive care, and post-treatment instructions to promote lifelong dental health.
Maintain accurate and detailed medical records using Dentrix, ensuring compliance with HIPAA regulations.
Follow infection control protocols with aseptic techniques to protect patients and staff from cross-contamination.
Requirements
Valid Dental Hygiene license in accordance with state regulations.
Proven experience working in general dentistry.
Proficiency with Dentrix for documentation review and record keeping.
Knowledge of dental terminology, anatomy, medical terminology, and medical coding standards.
Ability to perform efficiently while maintaining high standards of infection control and aseptic technique.
Strong understanding of patient care principles, including patient assessment and documentation review processes.
Excellent communication skills to educate patients effectively about their oral health needs.
