Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Dental Hygienist to join our dental practice. The ideal candidate will be responsible for providing high-quality dental care to our patients while ensuring their comfort and safety. This role requires a strong understanding of dental terminology, infection control, and aseptic techniques. The Dental Hygienist will work closely with the dental team to assist in patient assessments and contribute to a positive patient experience.
Responsibilities
Perform thorough dental cleanings and examinations using appropriate tools and techniques.
Assess patients' oral health and document findings accurately in the patient records.
Educate patients on proper oral hygiene practices and the importance of regular dental visits.
Assist the dentist during procedures, employing four-handed dentistry techniques for efficiency.
Maintain a clean and organized work environment, adhering to infection control protocols.
Review documentation for accuracy and completeness before submitting patient records.
Utilize Eaglesoft software for managing patient information and scheduling appointments.
Collaborate with the dental team to ensure optimal patient care and satisfaction.
Requirements
Valid Dental Hygienist license in accordance with state regulations.
Proficient understanding of aseptic technique, infection control, and dental terminology.
Experience in a dental clinic setting is preferred but not mandatory.
Familiarity with documentation review processes and electronic health record systems, particularly Eaglesoft.
Strong patient assessment skills with an emphasis on providing compassionate care.
Ability to assist effectively in various dental procedures while ensuring patient comfort.
Excellent communication skills and a team-oriented attitude are essential for success in this role.
